Privacy policy.

The short version: LineType doesn't collect your data. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and your writing stays on your device.

What stays on your device

Everything you make in LineType is stored only on your iPad or iPhone, in the app's own storage:

• Your handwriting: practice strokes, scores, and the letters you draw for your fonts.
• Your progress: lessons, levels, streaks, settings, and the names you give profiles and fonts.
• Photos or scans you choose to turn into a font. LineType reads the ones you pick; it doesn't look through your photo library.

None of this is sent to us or anyone else. Deleting the app deletes it. Fonts you export or install, and images you share, go only where you send them.

What we don't do

• No sign-up or account.
• No analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind, and no sharing or selling of data.
• No servers: LineType works entirely offline.

Apple services the app uses

• Purchases. LineType Pro is bought through the App Store. Apple handles the payment; we receive no payment details.
• Speech. Readings are spoken by the voices built into your device.
• Camera. Used only when you choose to scan a page of handwriting, and the scan is processed on your device.
• Reminders. If you turn on a daily reminder, it's a notification scheduled on your device.

If you send us feedback

"Report a bug or suggest an idea" opens an email in your own Mail app. It includes what you write, the app version, your device model and system version, and, if you choose, a screenshot of the screen you were on. Nothing is sent until you send it. We use these emails only to answer you and improve the app, and we never share them.

Children

LineType is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
